Many have heard of the iPhone’s special features. You may have seen the sleek design, know of the multi-touch screen that allows us to access everything with the use of our bare fingers and be well acquainted with the fact that its automated sensors do not only rotate the display according to the phone’s position but only save battery by automatically sensing that the phone is held up to the owner’s ear to make a call and so places the display on standby.
iPhones also automatically adjust the display’s brightness according to its visual needs as well. We also know that it runs with Apple’s latest Mac OS X operating system and that it is capable of unrestricted web access through Safari. Yes, we already know all that and that is enough to make us all want one.
However, there is so much more to the iPhone than all this. It advances the reputation of any other mobile or smart phone that has preceded it. When you get into the technical specifications of this sensational new gadget, you will understand.

Yes, we have already said that we know of the innovative multi-touch screen that the iPhone possesses. But that’s not the only special thing about its display. The iPhone actually maintains one of the largest smart phone screens on the market with a 3.5-inch wide screen display running at 480 by 320 pixels at 160 dots per inch. Its users could not ask for more from a multi-touch screen display. Apart from this, it also has the most internal memory by far.
This is a courtesy of a 4 Gigabyte or 8 Gigabyte flash drive. Plus, even with this impressive internal memory size, it is still one of the thinnest smart phones available as it is only 11.6 millimeter thick. It also offers remarkable battery life with talk-time of up to 8 hours and up to 250 hours of standby time.
The iPhone’s 2 mega pixel camera has also been given quite remarkable reviews for the quality photos it is able to capture. Although it is strictly point and shoot, lacking zoom, flash, and video recording features, its digital quality still surpasses most of other camera phones available in the market today. Also, when it comes to connectivity options, it includes Wi-Fi at 802.11b/g, AT&T’s Edge, and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR which is thrice as fast as Bluetooth 1.1.
Apple admits that these features could be more impressive. Truly, there is still much further development for the iPhone. However, anyone who has been lucky enough to use or own one would agree that it provides so much more than expected of any first model. This is especially true for Apple whose core competency is not with handhelds… at least not yet.
